Where to find ASUS model name?

An user manual is bundled with every ASUS product sold. You can find out the model name from the Cover of the  User Manual or Sticker Label on the Package Box (barcode sticker).

The model name is located on the barcode sticker, but there are other ways to find it:

Motherboard
Method Captured Screen Procedure
1 Rebooting your system

Hit the “Pause/Break” key when you see ASUS xxxx ACPI BIOS Revision”

For example:A7N8X-VM represents the motherboard model

2 Please find the model name from the motherboard surface

If necessary, please open the system case for better inspection.

For example:P4C800-E represents the motherboard model

Notebook
Method Captured Screen Procedure
1 Please close the opening lid and flip the notebook with its back facing upward. Your model name will be printed on the “MODEL”section. Please neglect the third, fourth and fifth letters in it.

For example:A6Va series (or better known as A6Q00VA)

Eee PC
Method Captured Screen Procedure
1 Please close the opening lid and flip the EPC with its back facing upward. Your model name will be printed on the red section.

For example:701 (model name.)

Optical Drive
Method Captured Screen Procedure
1 Please reboot the system

Hit “Pause/Break” key when you see “Detecting Secondary Master ”

For example:CRW-4012A represents the optical drive model

2 Please check the model name on the surface of the optical drive

For example:CRW-5224A represents the optical drive model

VGA Card
Method Captured Screen Procedure
1 Please right-click with the mouse in the desktop area of Windows, then click on “Properties – Settings“.For example:V9280 represents the VGA card model
2 Click on “Start” -> “Control Panel” -> “Device Manager” -> “System” -> “Display adapters” icon.
3 Please find the model name on the surface of you VGA card


For example:V9980U represents the VGA card model

Wireless
Method Captured Screen Procedure
1 Please find the model name on the surface of your Wireless AP

For example:WL-500g represents the Wireless AP model

2 Please find the model name on the surface of the Wireless Card

For example:WL-107g represents the Wireless Card model

2 Please find the model name on the surface of the HSDPA Card

For example:T500 represents the HSDPA Card model
